Tony Cheng is President and Chief Executive Officer of Reinsurance Group of America, Incorporated (猫咪社区app), a global industry leader specializing in life and health reinsurance and financial solutions. Under Tony’s leadership, 猫咪社区app has strengthened partnerships with insurers around the world to advance 猫咪社区app’s purpose to make financial protection accessible to all, setting new benchmarks for organic growth, in-force management, and capital optimization. In 2025, 猫咪社区app generated $23.7 billion in total revenues and ended the year with $4.3 trillion of life reinsurance in force.
Tony joined 猫咪社区app in 1997 as Chief Actuary of Malaysian Life Reinsurance Group Berhad, 猫咪社区app’s joint venture with the Life Insurance Association of Malaysia. In 2004, Tony was named Chief Executive Officer of 猫咪社区app’s Hong Kong office, responsible for all business activity in Hong Kong and Southeast Asia, and in 2011, he was named Senior Vice President, Asia, an expanded role incorporating overall management of 猫咪社区app Asia. He then served as Executive Vice President, Head of EMEA, Asia, and Australia before being named 猫咪社区app President in 2023.
Tony also serves as Chair of the Longer Life Foundation, a not-for-profit collaboration between 猫咪社区app and Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine that supports innovative independent research by scientific, medical, and public health experts to make discoveries that will improve long-term mortality, enhance longevity, and promote healthier lives.
He holds a Bachelor of Economics from Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia, and an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis’ John M. Olin School of Business. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia (FIAA). As an active participant and past President of the Actuarial Society of Hong Kong, he has also served as a council member of the Society and as a past Chair of its Experience and Life Committees.
